Happy Reading!

ASR DOOM
The dim, flickering lights of the underground dungeon cast long, menacing shadows against the damp stone walls. The air was thick with the suffocating scent of moisture, rusted iron, and pure, unadulterated fear. A man dressed in a sharp, custom-tailored black tuxedo sat regally in a heavy leather chair, looking entirely detached from the grim surroundings. He slowly swirled a glass of premium daaru (alcohol) in his hand, the ice cubes clinking softly against the glass-a sound that felt agonizingly loud in the quiet room.
Beside him stood his fiercely FRIEND, Karvin KHANNA, whose eyes remained fixed on the pathetic sight before them. On the cold, unforgiving concrete floor, a man in his mid-40s was pada hua (lying down), trembling violently. Stripped of all his dignity, he wept bitterly, begging desperately for his life.
"Please leave me! I swear on everything I hold dear, I haven't done anything! I have a wife... I have young children who depend on me! Please, have mercy!" the older man cried out, his voice cracking with terror.
The man in the black tuxedo didn't even glance down. He simply turned his icy, piercing eyes toward his FRIEND. "Karvin, he is seriously getting on my nerves now. Either you tell him to fucking spill out the truth right this second, or else I am going to lose my patience and kill him myself."
Karvin stepped forward, the heavy soles of his shoes echoing ominously as he stopped right over the sobbing man. Looking down ruthlessly, he spoke in a low, dangerous tone. "Look at me. Your death is already a certainty in this room. But if you don't want to die a slow, excruciating death by my boss's hands, just fucking spill the truth. And don't you dare lie to us. Because right now, he doesn't know the full story. But if he has to find out on his own, he will not spare a single soul. I am telling you this for your own good."
The man in the tuxedo, Vansh SINGHANIA, let out a dramatic, irritated sigh and rolled his eyes toward the ceiling. He took a slow sip of his drink before speaking.
"Yaar Karvin, yeh aise nahi batane wala. Aur use kaise bhi karke pata lag hi jaayega. Aur use pata laga to vo iske saath-saath iske khandaan ko bhi nahi chhodega."
(Buddy Karvin, he isn't going to talk this way. And the boss will find out the truth somehow anyway. And if the boss finds out, he won't spare him or his entire family.)
Karvin groaned slightly, shifting his stance as if trying to play the reasonable cop in a hopeless situation.
"Yaar Vansh bhai, ek to aap is bechare ko aise mat darao. Aur vaise bhi abhi to yeh sach ugalega hi, varna boss ko pata chala to iske saath-saath vo humein bhi maarenge."
(Buddy Vansh bro, first of all, don't scare this poor guy like that. And anyway, he will definitely spill the truth right now, otherwise if the boss finds out, he will kill us along with him.)
Losing the last shred of his patience, Vansh suddenly bolted upright from his chair. In one swift, terrifying motion, he pulled out his heavy gun and pressed the cold, metallic barrel directly against the man's sweaty forehead. The clicking sound of the weapon being loaded echoed like a death knell.
"Sir! Sir, please stop! I'll tell you everything! I'll speak! Please, just don't do anything to my innocent family!" the man shrieked, wetting himself in sheer panic.
Vansh sneered, his face twisting into a mask of pure annoyance. "Chaal bakk yaar! Ab tere chakkar mein ek poori bottle khaali ho chuki hai already. Bakwaas band kar aur jaldi bata!"
(Cut the crap! A whole bottle is already empty because of you. Stop the nonsense and tell me quickly!)
The man shook unconditionally, his vision blurred with tears as he reached into his pocket with a trembling hand. He held up his phone like a lifeline. "Sir, I swear I don't know him! I have never seen his face! But... but he called me through this exact number. He paid me a massive amount and told me to leak the internal information and kill Naksh Singh Rathore... that's all I know, I swear!"
The moment the name left the prisoner's mouth, the temperature in the room seemed to drop by ten degrees. Vansh's eyes widened, not in fear, but in a dark, twisted amusement. He let out a sinister, echoing laugh that sent chills down everyone's spine.
"Abe saale! Tujhe pata hai tune sirf Naksh Singh Rathore ko haath nahi lagaya, tune apni maut ko khud bulaya hai. Tune to galti se khud Yamraaj ki patni ko chheda hai! Ab Yamraaj tere saath kya karega, vo to humein bhi nahi pata."
(You absolute idiot! Do you even realize that you haven't just touched Naksh Singh Rathore, you have literally summoned your own death? You have accidentally messed with the wife of the God of Death himself! Now what Yamraaj will do to you, even we don't know.)
Hearing these words, a few newly recruited guards standing at the perimeter of the dungeon got highly confused. They looked at each other, frowning deeply, and started whispering frantically among themselves. They knew their big boss was a ruthless predator, an untouchable king of the underworld, but they had never once heard of him being married. In fact, they had never seen a woman anywhere near him.
Seeing the utterly bewildered and panicked expressions on the new guards' faces, Karvin couldn't help but crack a small smirk despite the gravity of the situation. He chuckled softly under his breath.
Noticing their frantic murmurs, Karvin looked at them and clarified, "Bhai is talking about Naksh." (Brother Vansh is talking about Naksh.)
One of the guards, completely clueless and brand new to the inner sanctum, blurted out by mistake in a loud whisper, "Hain? Our boss is gay?" (Huh? Our boss is gay?)
The senior guard standing right next to him instantly turned pale. He raised his hand and smacked the new recruit heavily across the back of his head.
"Oye! Tu pagal hai kya? Dimaag kharab ho gaya hai tera? Naksh sir apne boss ke bhai hain. Aur vo unki jaan hain! Kabhi galti se bhi tune unke baare mein kuch aisi-waisi baat boli na, to Yamraaj is gunehgar ka kya karenge vo to pata nahi, lekin tu Tarzan ka khaana zaroor banega!"
(Hey! Are you crazy? Have you lost your mind? Naksh sir is our boss's brother. And he is his absolute life! If you ever say anything reckless about him even by mistake, I don't know what Yamraaj will do to this prisoner, but you will definitely become food for Tarzan-the boss's ferocious pet hound!)
The new guard swallowed hard, instantly shutting his mouth and staring at the floor in terror, realizing he had just narrowly avoided a death sentence.
A few minutes later, after leaving strict instructions with the senior guards to keep the prisoner alive but heavily guarded, Vansh and Karvin walked out of the dark, suffocating dungeon. They emerged into the dimly lit corridor outside, the heavy iron doors groaning shut behind them.
Vansh aggressively ran a hand through his hair, looking utterly stressed and mentally exhausted. He turned to Karvin, his voice dripping with frustration.
"Yeh tera vo boss kuch ajeeb harkatein nahi kar raha pichle ek mahine se? Us bande ne 30 meetings cancel kar chuka hai, 50 phone tod chuka hai, aur 10 mehengi gaadiyaan jala chuka hai! Kya kar kya raha hai tera boss, haan? Na vo bastard mera phone utha raha hai aur na kisi se baat kar raha hai..."
(Hasn't that boss of yours been acting incredibly strange for the past month? That guy has canceled 30 important meetings, smashed 50 phones to pieces, and burned down 10 expensive cars! What on earth is your boss even doing, huh? Neither is that bastard picking up my phone nor is he talking to anyone...)
Vansh continued his heated rant, throwing his hands up in the air as they walked down the hallway.
"Aur to aur, agar main Aunty se pucho to vo to ghar pe aise chill kar rahi hain jaise unka beta pata nahi kaunsa bada award jeetkar unhein dene wala hai! Aur Uncle ka to kya hi kehna... unki jaaneman ne jo keh diya, unke liye patthar ki lakeer hai! Huhh, kya piece hai yaar poori family! Uska baap... use achhe se pata hoga ki uska suputra kya kaand kar raha hai, lekin agar hum jaakar puchlein to vo humein ek lafga nahi batayega. Aur jab vo ladka koi bohot bada kaand karega, to uska saara matka hamare sir par phodega! Huhh, kutta saala! Ek dost mila hai zindagi mein, vo bhi bas... aaah, Adi, where the hell are you?"
(And what's more, if I ask Aunty, she is chilling at home as if her son is about to win some grand award and hand it to her! And don't even get me started on Uncle... whatever his sweetheart says is etched in stone for him! Ugh, what a unique piece of work this entire family is! His dad... he must know exactly what mischief his 'worthy son' is up to, but if we go and ask him, he won't tell us a single word. And when that guy pulls off a massive disaster, the entire blame will be dropped right on our heads! Ugh, what a bastard! I got only one true friend in this life, and he is just... ah, Adi, where the hell are you?)
Karvin, hearing his boss being dragged into the rant, frowned defensively and crossed his arms. "Bhai, please, don't say anything bad to my boss, okay? Jaise bhi hain, jitna bhi gussa karte hain, he is my boss after all."
(Brother, please, don't say anything bad to my boss, okay? However he is, no matter how much he rages, he is my boss after all.)
Vansh snapped back instantly, his eyes glaring. "'Mere boss ko kuch mat kaho'... main to kahunga! Saala kameena, pata nahi khud mar gaya hai ya kisi teesre ko maar raha hai. Ek to vo itne dino se phone bhi nahi utha raha..."
('Don't say anything to my boss'... I will absolutely say it! That bastard, I don't know if he died himself somewhere or is busy murdering someone else. On top of that, he hasn't been picking up his phone for days...)
Growling in frustration, Vansh pulled out his phone from his tuxedo pocket, angrily preparing to dial Adi's private number for the hundredth time today. He was ready to scream into the microphone. But right at that exact microsecond, before his thumb could even touch the screen, the phone in his hand suddenly lit up. The screen flashed bright, and a heavy vibration rippled through his palm.
The caller ID displayed just four letters: MAUT❌.
Vansh's breath hitched. He quickly swiped the green button to answer, his chest heaving as he prepared to unleash a massive barrage of creative curses. But before he could even draw enough breath to speak, a voice cut through the line.
It wasn't the voice of a friend. It was a voice that sounded like it had crawled straight out of the deepest depths of hell-cold, detached, completely devoid of human emotion, and dripping with an ominous finality.
"Come to MRITYU."
The line instantly went dead. The sharp beep of the disconnected call echoed like a gunshot in the quiet corridor.
Vansh and Karvin both froze dead in their tracks, completely paralyzed with shock. A heavy, suffocating, and terrifying silence descended upon them, making it hard to breathe.
MRITYU .
It wasn't just a place. It was the one highly forbidden, heavily fortified territory where Adi had strictly vowed never to let a single living soul enter. Not his beloved brother Naksh, not his trusted ally Vansh, and certainly not his loyal PA and brother Karvin. It was Adi's private hell-a dark, blood-stained sanctuary where mercy did not exist, and from which no enemy ever walked out alive.
And now, for the first time in their lives, he had just commanded them to come right into the heart of it.
The phone in Vansh's hand vibrated aggressively, cutting through the tense silence of the corridor. Swiping the screen, he opened his mouth, ready to unleash a barrage of furious curses at Adi for being MIA. But before a single word could escape his lips, a voice-cold, detached, and dripping with an ominous finality-echoed from the speaker:
"Come to MRITYU."
The line went completely dead.
Vansh's hand slowly dropped to his side, the phone suddenly feeling like a block of ice in his palm. The color drained from his face instantly, leaving him dangerously pale as cold sweat began to bead along his forehead.
Karvin, who had been smiling just a second ago, noticed the abrupt, haunting transformation in Vansh's posture. His smile vanished, replaced by an immediate wave of anxiety.
Karvin: (Frowning, his voice laced with tension) "Vansh bro? What happened? What did the Boss say? Why do you look like you've just seen a ghost?"
Vansh stared straight ahead, his eyes wide and completely hollow. His fingers tightened around his phone with a vice-like grip.
Vansh: (In a trembling, breathless whisper) "He... he said... 'Come to MRITYU'."
The words hit Karvin like a physical blow. The breath caught in his throat, and the remaining color fled from his face. His eyes widened in absolute horror.
Karvin: (Stammering, losing his composure) "M-Mrityu? Bro... tell me you are joking right now. Mrityu?! That is the one place he has never allowed anyone to step foot in-not even Naksh sir! That is the place where... where mercy doesn't even exist!"
Vansh: (Gulping hard, running a tense hand through his hair) "Do you think I'd ever joke about something like this? Karvin, he is summoning us there. Do you understand the gravity of this? Something has happened-something completely unprecedented. Either someone is about to die... or he is already on the hunt."
Fumbling with panic, Karvin hastily yanked the car keys out of his pocket, his hands shaking violently.
Karvin: "Bro, we need to move, now! If the Boss is calling us to that godforsaken place, it means a countdown has already begun for someone. We cannot afford to waste a single second!"
Vansh took a deep, grounding breath, his panicked expression hardening into a ruthless, lethal mask. He tucked his gun securely back into his waistband.
Vansh: "Let's go. Let's see who Yamraaj has summoned to his court today."
Without another word, the two men sprinted out of the dungeon toward the car, their hearts hammering against their ribs. They knew better than anyone-stepping into MRITYU meant walking straight into the jaws of death itself.
